Vancouver is the jewel of the Canadian Pacific North West and is a top North American city break destination. Often voted one of the "most liveable" cities in the world, Vancouver has a host of things to do. Its proximity to the mountains means the city is a haven for outdoor pursuits. However there is also plenty to do in the city itself.

Getting there

Accommodation

Vancouver has a wide range of accommodation to suit all budgets. Check out our partners at Hotels.com for city break hotels. Alternatively if you are in the UK try City Break Hotels with Expedia.

What to See and Do

Vancouver's numerous attractions include the following:

Stanley Park: The park is located in the CBD and is a great place to spend a few hours. Take a walk out to Prospect Point for great views over the water. There are numerous refreshment stops available in the park should you wish to recharge your batteries.

Capilano Suspension Bridge: The 136m long bridge crosses the Capilano river 70 metres above the river. In addition to the bridge there is also a large park, rainforest ecotours and a tree top adventure walk.

Museum of Anthropology: Located at the University of British Columbia, this museum has a large collection of native artifacts. The museum is a short bus ride from the CBD.

Harbour Centre Tower: A trip to the top of the tower will give you great views of the city and north shore mountains. Don't forget your camera!

Getting Around

Sky Train: An elevated rail system makes for a quick and convenient way in which to travel around the city.

Bus: There are bus services covering the metro area including three bus rapid transit lines.

Bike: Vancouver is a very cycle friendly city. Cycle the sea wall at Stanley Park and enjoy the views!
